sketch i did the other day, thinking about doing up a digital painting on it.
the actual sketch is on the right, and my value comp is on the left. any input on the composition or anything?
my wife gave it the title of 'Who dares disturb my slumber?!' i love fun fantasy cliche stuff like this.

The composition looks fairly balanced...when you squint your eyes and look at it, I see blotches of dark in the bottom left and top right corner. I would extend those dark values across the entire bottom and entire top of the image...especially on the top. That top left corner is where I most easily leave the image (I follow the line of the Genie's (?) sword), and I need something to stop me.
Also, I want to know more about the poor little guy in the bottom left corner. I think the commentary between little-guy and genie would be richer if little-guy had more character to him. Perhaps some ethnic dress or famous landmarks around so we know where we are?
