i will finish this in 1 more 3 hr session .....suggestions for next time ?

right now, I see warm lights and warm shadows. I think the shadows would be more convincing if they were cooler.

Also, the lights are all the same value and color (not surprising, because you said you're not finished with it). The common tendency is to put a lot of energy into developing value changes in the shadows, but really great portraits almost always have beautifully subtle changes in value in the light-portions of the face. Also, remember that in general, the nose and cheek area are more red, the chin and forehead areas are more yellow in hue (though you probably already knew that).

I like how you've modeled the eyes and lips with very minimal brush strokes.
