I think it's a good start.Really focus on ways to emphasis depth and scale.
I love the contrast of intensity you have int he middle of the painting. The bright greens and yellows really pop. I get the idea that there's a lot of cloud cover, but the sun's breaking through right there, making a nice focal point.
