A few 8 x 10. A few of you have already seen them. Sticking with the burnt sienna, ultra blue, and yellow ochre. I need a few embellishments to make them pop - texture etc. Geoff, I'd love to see a paint over.
wow, these are really cool. i can't wait to see what you have in mind. i don't really want to say anything that may distract you from where you're going. The lighting and color choices are really nice.
is there anything in particular that you're struggling with? what do you mean by 'embellishments'? what do you think you need to add?
the texture of your backgrounds and skulls are awesome. the only thing that doesn't read as strong are the torso sections, and it's only because they feel unfinished. are you painting these from models or just make-believe?
These are lifted from a Nat Geo article about embalmed monks. I guess I'm more curious as to your take on background elements. I want to keep the icon look, but add my regular signatures - the circle, degraded edges etc., but any other direction you had in mind would be helpful. I'm not worried about you derailing my idea; they're in the completing stages and I want to finish strong to have in a show.
