Portrait Studies

This one I did the underpainting for while at my booth at Summerfest. I took it home and finished it later.

These next two were drawings of students while they sat for a portrait session in my class on Thursday. I'm digging the cheap brown butcher paper.

Holy crap. Love your top painting. The energy in your background brush strokes is nice. Nice skin tone too. Usually I'm a fan of more warm-cool tone variation in the face, but you've made this work wonderfully. Well done.

Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while. Been pregnant, and two of my weird pregnancy aversions were 1) painting and 2) blogging. Not even kidding. Facebook was fine, but blogging made me nauseous. Um, yeah. Doesn't make sense to me either. Anyway, nice work! Lovin' what you've been doing.
